LSi launch the 2023 Pride Merchandise Collection

Over the coming summer months many LSi customers get together and show support for all in the workplace at Pride Festivals, celebrating diversity and inclusion.

This year LSi has put together a collection of some of the most popular product requests.

All of our Pride Collection is able to capture the different iterations of the Pride Flag, from the original Rainbow through to the Progress and Intersex-Inclusive versions - where the print allows. Our design team can then incorporate logos as required over the top of the flag designs where possible.

From T-Shirts & drinkware to sweets and shoe laces....let us help you get Rainbow Ready and wish you an awesome Pride experience.

The Pride Flag Evolves

The Pride Flag, also known as the Rainbow Flag, was the original symbol for the LGBTQ+ community since it was first introduced during the San Francisco Gay Freedom Day Parade in June 1978.

The six colours represent and celebrate:

  • Red = Life
  • Orange = Healing
  • Yellow = Sunlight
  • Green = Nature
  • Indigo = Harmony
  • Violet = Spirit

In 2018 the Pride flag was amended by Daniel Quasar to what is now known as the Progress Pride Flag.

This modified version of the original rainbow pride flag, with the addition of a chevron pattern in black and brown represent LGBTQ+ people of colour, while the light blue, pink, and white colors represent the transgender community.

The chevron is meant to convey the progress still needed.

Following the original Pride Flag, and then Progress, the flag continued to evolve with the Intersex-Inclusive Flag, in May 2021 journalist Valentino Vecchietti unveiled a new version of the flag with a purple circle over a yellow triangle to the chevron on the left side of the progress design this flag to be more inclusive, specifically of the Intersex community.

Pride Flag

The Progress & Intersex Flags have not superceded the rainbow pride flag, but rather they are a re-interpretation that celebrates the diversity of the LGBTQ community and calls for a more inclusive society, of course some members of the community may have a preference to one particular design and there is no right or wrong.

For merchandise the Progress and Intersex designs require a larger print area as the level of detail is not possible to replicate in a small space but the LSi design team can look to adjust and work with each design and adapt for different product & print areas as best they can.

Some examples of how each of the flags can be recreated across different merchandise is illustrated in our collection.
