rPET material (from waste plastic bottles) reduces waste to landfill and requires 1/10th of the water & 70% less energy in its manufacture compared with virgin polyester.
Recron GreenGold is a high quality rPET fabric made from Recycled Water Bottles collected and recycled in India by Reliance Industries Ltd.
Just like cotton which can be sourced all over the world but farming & manufacturing standards differ, so the same is true of rPET. From sourcing and collecting through to manufacture and then distribution.
Recron GreenGold rPET marks the gold standard in rPET manufacture, the manufacturing process is free of harmful chemicals, uses renewable energy and recycled water.
But how do we know the GreenGold Recron material is the same as used in the bags we purchase. Tracer particles are added to the polymer stream during production and these tracers are scanned & tracked using blockchain technology such that when the rPET arrives at the bag factory and subsequently is used to make these bags it is verified as being Recron GreenGold rPET and not alternative.
All bags are made in fully-certified and audited factories, they follow strict health & safety practices and provide ethical working conditions so that workers are paid fairly and treated justly.
The Recon range is currently available in the UK in five different styles of bag. Each is swing tagged and QR coded so that the people you give your printed promotional bag to are able to learn more about the traceable closed loop production process.
